The King-Morgridge scholarship application for Fall 2023 will open in WiSH by December 1. You will answer a series of multiple choice questions which will create your opportunities list. Log in to the WiSH portal using your NetID and password. You will need this to set up your UW–Madison NetID.ģ. Your UW–Madison campus ID number will be sent to you through email. Submit the UW–Madison undergraduate application by the deadline.Ģ. Once all items are received, applicants will be reviewed by a committee.ġ. To be considered for the King-Morgridge Scholars Program, candidates must submit an undergraduate first-year application to the University of Wisconsin–Madison, as well as the scholarship-specific application found on the Wisconsin Scholarship Hub (WiSH). Both applications are required for full consideration. Through the generous gifts of the King and Morgridge families, this endowed program will provide up to six scholarships each year.Īpplications for this scholarship are accepted once a year and only first-time, undergraduate, degree-seeking students are eligible. Selected scholars will receive a full-time, four-year/eight-semester scholarship to the University of Wisconsin–Madison that includes tuition and fees, on-campus room and board, health insurance, airfare, and a stipend for miscellaneous expenses. Selected for their drive, academic success and commitment to addressing issues of poverty in their own countries, King-Morgridge Scholars will hail from countries in Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, South and Southeast Asia. The King-Morgridge Scholars Program is an exceptional opportunity for enterprising, creative, dedicated young adults committed to applying their talents toward poverty alleviation. Retired chair and CEO of MFG Chemical, as well as a past president and treasurer of AATCC, Gavin created the fellowship to continue his legacy of supporting the textile industry and to honor four individuals, all graduates of North Carolina State University, and all instrumental in the continued success of AATCC Foundation Inc. The $3,500 annual award was founded by Charles E Gavin III. The AATCC Foundation Grady, Hauser, Houser, Daniels Graduate Fellowship supports students pursuing a PhD in Fiber and Polymer Science at North Carolina State University’s Wilson College of Textiles. Friends and colleagues donated more than $2,000 to the Grady, Hauser, Houser, Daniels Graduate Fellowship. When he died in January 2023, his family suggested gifts in his memory be made to AATCC Foundation. Perry Grady was a lifelong supporter of AATCC and the NC State Wilson College of Textiles.
